The GB12/160B.B. battery is part of the Zelus GB series, a valve - regulated lead - acid (VRLA) battery using gelified electrolyte. Its core technology involves mixing sulfuric acid with silica fume to form a gel - like and immobile substance. This gel electrolyte design fundamentally avoids the common issues of electrolyte evaporation and leakage in traditional flooded batteries, thereby significantly reducing potential corrosion risks. Meanwhile, the GEL technology endows the battery with excellent environmental adaptability, enabling it to have stronger resistance to extreme temperatures, impacts, and vibrations.The battery is equipped with an internal valve adjustment system to safely discharge the gas generated inside. Structurally, it uses calcium instead of antimony in traditional lead plates. This change significantly reduces gas evolution while maintaining excellent mechanical properties. This battery operates at an overall voltage of 12 volts. Its nominal capacity is 160 Ah at a 20-hour rate (C20) and 152 Ah at a 10-hour rate (C10), with a weight of approximately 55 kilograms (121.3 lbs). The physical dimensions are designed to balance space utilization and stability, with length, width, and total height of 522 mm, 202 mm, and 219.5 mm respectively.The battery terminals are of standard type B9, with an optional I3 type.
