The Zelus GB series battery is a valve - regulated lead - acid battery with gel electrolyte, formed by mixing sulfuric acid with silica ash to create a gel - like and immobile substance. This GEL technology almost completely eliminates the common electrolyte evaporation and overflow problems of traditional flooded batteries, thus avoiding the corrosion caused by them. The battery is equipped with a valve regulation system that allows safe gas discharge. Its grid uses calcium instead of antimony, which while maintaining excellent mechanical properties, significantly reduces the gas evolution rate, making the battery more stable and durable.
